Frequently asked questions

Practical answers.
Before you make the move.

How the service works, what is included and what to expect when a remote professional joins your business.

Getting started

What does Beyond Borders Talent do?
We source and shortlist candidates, coordinate onboarding, manage contractor payments and HR administration, and provide ongoing account support. You set the daily priorities, explain your processes and approve work within your business.
Where are your professionals based?
We source remote professionals in the Philippines for Australian businesses. Candidates are assessed against the communication, skills, experience and working hours required for your role.
What if I have never hired remotely before?
We help you define a manageable task list, meet candidates and plan the first working week. You will need to explain your systems and processes; we support the onboarding and ongoing working relationship.
Can I meet the person before choosing?
Yes. You meet shortlisted candidates before making a decision. We discuss relevant experience, communication, system knowledge and how they would approach your actual tasks.
How long does a placement take?
Timing depends on the role, system requirements and candidate availability. We discuss a realistic recruitment and start-date plan after the initial conversation, rather than promise the same timeframe for every role.

Pricing & guarantees

How much does it cost?
Essential is $12/hour, Professional is $15/hour and Elite is $18/hour, in AUD per professional. The package depends on the role’s complexity and required expertise. See the full comparison for inclusions and terms.
What is included in the package?
Recruitment, candidate screening, onboarding coordination, contractor payment administration, HR support and ongoing account management. Hours, role scope and any additional requirements are set out in your quote.
What if the person is not the right fit?
Our Professional and Elite packages include a lifetime replacement guarantee. We work with you to understand the issue and manage the replacement search. See the detailed package terms for coverage.
Is there a minimum term or notice period?
Your service agreement sets out the engagement term, renewal arrangements and notice requirements. We explain these before you commit.
When do I pay?
Payment timing and the billing arrangement are confirmed in your written quote and service agreement. Prices on this website are quoted per hour.

Working together

Will they work during my business hours?
We agree the working hours before placement and source candidates who can work that schedule. Day-to-day communication can happen in the tools your team already uses.
Who manages the work each day?
You set the priorities, explain your processes and approve the work. Your professional works with you directly. Beyond Borders Talent manages the contractor relationship and provides HR, payment and account support.
How do we communicate?
Use the tools your business already knows: email, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom or your task-management system. Agree response expectations, a daily check-in and how to escalate anything urgent during onboarding.
Is the professional employed by my business?
The professional is engaged as a contractor through Beyond Borders Talent. The service agreement explains the engagement and each party’s responsibilities. You still control your internal decisions, systems and access permissions.
What happens if my needs change?
Talk to your account manager about changes to the task list, hours or required experience. We agree any scope or package changes with you in writing.

Data & access

How is confidential information handled?
Confidentiality commitments and agreed access controls form part of onboarding. We work with you to establish which systems and information the role needs. Access should be limited to what is necessary and approved by your business.
Does offshore support remove my compliance obligations?
No. Your business remains responsible for its own systems, regulatory obligations and decisions about access to customer or participant information. We work with your requirements when scoping and onboarding a role.
Can my industry-specific controls be included?
Yes. Tell us about your policies, approval processes, system restrictions and any required training before recruitment. We assess whether the proposed role can work within those requirements.

NDIS & aged care

Can you support NDIS and aged-care administration?
Yes, for suitable administrative work such as booking coordination, roster updates, invoice preparation and document follow-ups. The role, permissions and access to personal information must be agreed with your business before work begins. Clinical decisions and direct care remain with your local team.
Which systems can you recruit for?
We can look for candidates with relevant experience in ShiftCare, Brevity, Xero, MYOB and other platforms you use. System knowledge is checked against your brief; each candidate’s experience will differ.
Can a professional access participant information?
Access is not automatic. Your business must approve the role, data access, permissions and any required controls before work begins. We scope the role around those decisions.
Can a professional prepare invoices or update rosters?
Yes, where those tasks fall within the agreed administrative scope. Your business retains responsibility for approvals, service decisions and any regulated activities. Never share another person’s login credentials.

A short task check to help you prepare for a conversation.

Take the four-question workload check
1. How many hours go into admin each week?
2. How many follow-ups slip through each week?
3. Which work would you delegate first?
4. What would that make room for?
